Flip Slides for Translation
Flip PowerPoint Slide content LTR to RTL or reverse to make slide translation easier.
Flip PowerPoint slides to right to left layout (for presentations created in left to right layout) ready for translation of all or some slides from a LTR language to a RTL language, for example Arabic or Hebrew.
PPT Productivity's Flip Slides feature makes it easy to flip PowerPoint slide layout and text from left to right to right to left. Perfect when you need to translate all or selected slides in a PowerPoint presentation. The flip PowerPoint slides group of features let you flip header, text boxes and contents so that they display right to left rather than left to right.
Chart or image placement is also transposed on your PowerPoint slide, to support a logical rearrangement of the slide (Note that the Flip features cannot yet flip Think-cell controlled shapes including Charts).
Flip Slides has three feature buttons, allowing you to specify what elements to flip:
- Flip shape and text location in PowerPoint: For most slides this feature button will be a 'single click' solution. The feature moves selected shape(s) from one side of the PowerPoint slide to the other (including and directional shapes such as chevrons). It also flips any Wipe/Flip/Arc animations if they are left or right as well as gradients. This feature changes text from LTR (left-to-right) to RTL (right-to-left). It flips text direction in textboxes and table cells. For content in PowerPoint tables, it also reverses the column order. For PowerPoint charts it reverses the chart x-axis ordering.
- Flip text direction in PowerPoint: This feature changes text from LTR (left-to-right) to RTL (right-to-left). It flips text direction in textboxes and table cells. - Mirror Flip image in PowerPoint: This feature lets you mirror reverse an image on your PowerPoint slide
If you select a slide before clicking any of these features, all of the related objects on the slide will be flipped (e.g. all images, or all shapes, or all text). Alternatively, if you want to flip specific object(s) - select them before clicking the button and the feature will flip only what is selected.
The Flip Slides features are available in PPT Productivity Power Tools. You can find it on the Format Toolbar, in the Rotate/ Right-to-Left feature group.
The Flip slides in PowerPoint feature was requested by some of our customers in the Middle East and supports languages that are written in a right to left format - including Arabic and Hebrew. Note that Microsoft supports default right to left slides in PowerPoint when you are running an Arabic or Hebrew language version as your default.
This feature supports scenarios where presentations are being translated either entirely or selectively from a language in a left-to-right text layout, to a language in a right-to-left text layout (as well as the reverse scenario - flipping from a language in a right-to-left text layout to a language in a left-to-right text layout).
