PPT Productivity PowerPoint add-in has 200+ time saving features. The Format Images features are buttons on the PPT Productivity ribbon that let you quickly crop images and compress image sizes. These features help reduce a presentation file size for easier emailing.

PPT Productivity makes the standard PowerPoint Crop Image feature available for faster single click access from the PPT Productivity ribbon.

Crop Image is a standard PowerPoint feature, but it is included on the PPT Productivity ribbon to give you faster access. Otherwise you need to right click on your shape, then scroll down to select Crop. The Crop image PowerPoint feature lets you cut any edges of the image that you want to remove. You can adjust each side of your shape separately.

Productivity Tip

Remember: cropped areas of images can still be accessed by another user of the document unless you also delete the cropped areas. Use compress images to delete cropped areas to permanently remove the cropped content before finalizing your PowerPoint presentation.

Shortcut Keys

All PPT Productivity features can be used via the Customizable Shortcut Keys for PowerPoint feature. You can add a shortcut key for Crop, for even fasted access to the feature.

Compress selected or all images in your PowerPoint presentation, to reduce file size. Make your PowerPoint file smaller for easier emailing by compressing the size and deleting cropped area of images.

Compress PowerPoint presentations using the Compress Image size feature. Feature includes options to compress to sizes recommended for Print, Screen or Email.
This timesaving powerpoint compressor also has an option to delete cropped areas of any selected images. This further reduces the file size and prevents other document users from accessing the cropped area of images.
Compress Image is a standard PowerPoint feature, but it is included on the PPT Productivity ribbon to give you faster access. Otherwise you need to click on your image, then navigate to the Picture Format tab on the ribbon, then click the Compress Pictures button.

Productivity Tip

If you need to make your file size smaller, deleting un-used slide layouts from your presentation's template also helps to reduce PowerPoint file size (some companies have very large template files, aka .potx files).
PPT Productivity's new Proofing Tools features include the Reduce file size feature. This lets you delete all unusued slide layouts in PowerPoint in a couple of clicks.

Change Picture from Clipboard Shortcut

Change a Picture from Clipboard via custom PowerPoint shortcut keys.

In standard PowerPoint it is not possible to change a picture from clipboard via shorcut keys (that is, to select a picture on your PowerPoint slide and select to paste your clipboard contents to replace the existing picture). But you can do this with PPT Productivity.

To set the shortcut, on the PPT Productivity Ribbon in PowerPoint go to Shortcuts > Manage shortcuts. The Manage Shortcuts popup will appear. In the 'Command Name' field type: Picture Change. A list of options will appear in the box below. Select the 'From clipboard....' option. Next, in the Assign new shortcut section, place your cursor in the field next to the words 'Press shortcut keys' and then press the shortcut key combination you would like to select for this shortcut. Next click Assign

Now you will be able to copy a picture to your clipboard, then select a picture in your presentation that needs to be updated. Once selected, if you use your shortcut key combination to Change Picture from Clipboard, the existing picture in the presentation will be replaced with the picture from your clipboard, but the original dimensions of the picture already in the presentation will be retained.
