PPT Productivity's auto footer update lets you add a footer containing your PowerPoint presentation's filename. You can select to have this automatically update each time the document is saved, so the current filename is visible on each slide.
When you switch the footer from 'off' to 'silent', the current filename will be applied to a footer on each slide. When running in silent mode, the footer will automatically update to show the current filename each time you save. Great when iterating versions of a document through review, to keep easy visibility of which version you or your colleagues are reviewing.
You can easily toggle the setting to be on auto update or turned off, using the Filename on Footer feature on the PPT Productivity Ribbon or the Footer pop-out on the ribbon. Click save to see the refresh of the footer appearing or disappearing on your slide.
Productivity TipThe filename footer is inserted as an additional footer on your document, to the bottom left hand corner. The standard insert footnote PowerPoint feature can be used to add footnotes to your slides. The footer feature does not impact the use of footnotes.
Shortcut KeysAs with all PPT Productivity features, you can create a customized PowerPoint shortcut key to control the filename footer. Read more about PPT Productivity's Customizable shortcut keys.
