Customizable PowerPoint Shortcuts

PowerPoint shortcuts save you time in PowerPoint, especially for high frequency tasks like aligning shapes or formatting text. PPT Productivity's PowerPoint add-in lets you add or change PowerPoint shortcut keys (aka hotkeys or PowerPoint keyboard short cuts). You can change standard PowerPoint shortcuts, add new shortcuts for PowerPoint's 800+ commands and also for PPT Productivity's 200+ commands.

Easily search Shortcut keys in PowerPoint using PPT Productivity's Manage Shortcut Keys menu. The Manage Shortcut Keys popup also lets you easily reset or update your keyboard shortcuts.     Quickly search for a specific PowerPoint shortcut key using PPT Productivity - search PowerPoint Shortcuts by command name/ assigned shortcut key/ to check whether it's already a custom shortcut. You can either search across all shortcuts or limit your search to only display PPT Productivity custom shortcuts.

    Create or update keyboard shortcuts in PowerPoint for menu items, buttons or checkboxes to automate any of the following:

    • Commands from any feature on the PowerPoint main ribbon

    Productivity Tip

    To find a custom PowerPoint shortcut key that you setup, or to check if a specific shortcut key combination is still available, press the shortcut in the "Assigned Shortcut:" field of the Edit Custom Shortcut Keys popup. You can filter all shortcuts that use that combination of keys (in full or part).

    Example: Enter CTRL + U in the assigned shortcut field and the results field will display the Autofit Columns keyboard shortcut, which by default is CTRL+ALT+Shift+U.

    To assign shortcut keys to a menu or ribbon item:

    1. Shift+click the PowerPoint or PPT Productivity menu item
    2. Press the Shortcut keys
    3. Click Assign then Close
    4. Now press your shortcut keys and the command will automatically run for you

    To assign PowerPoint shortcut keys to any item:

    1. Click the PPT Productivity tab
    2. Click the Shortcut keys menu, then Manage Custom Shortcut Keys
    3. Search for any command name to filter the full list to find the command you need
    4. Click the keys you want to assign in Press the Shortcut keys
    5. Click Assign then Close
    6. Now select your shortcut keys and the command will automatically run for you
