Slide Library for PowerPoint

How to reuse slides in PowerPoint? PPT Productivity's Slide Library makes it easy! PPT Productivity's Slide Library lets you save shapes slides and more, to reuse PowerPoint slides them via the Slide Library Toolbar. Slide Library Toolbar is a Powerpoint slide management tool. The toolbar displays saved slides and shapes to the right of your screen, ready for easy reuse. PPT Productivity's Slide Library for PowerPoint is the best way to organize and reuse PowerPoint slides.

What can you save in the Slide Library?

  • Shapes: Save your favorite PowerPoint shapes or frameworks - the Slide Library Toolbar is an extended PowerPoint shape library
  • Slides: Save entire slides to reuse in future presentations
  • Icons: Create a PowerPoint icons library by saving your most used icons
  • Images: You can save images to the Slides Library. Perfect for saving photos and more
  • Logos: You can save logos to the Slide Library. If you have embedded hyperlinks with your logos, these will also save and be added to any slide along with the logo
  • Tables: Created the perfect PowerPoint Table Template and want to reuse it? The Slide Library makes it easy to save table templates in PowerPoint

Save slides or shapes to the PowerPoint Slide Library, for faster reuse of PowerPoint slides. Access your slides and shapes library by scrolling thumbnail images or searching for the slide name in the Toolbar. Slide Library Search supports partial word search, so for example searching for 'Ar' will find any slides with Arrow, Bar, or Dark in the name.

The Slide Library Toolbar displays to the right of your PowerPoint screen. When you save slides or shapes by default they save to your own private Slide Library for your own reuse. But Teams can also create Team Slide Libraries, to share slides and shapes across a team or entire company.

Your Slide Library by default saves your library files to your local machine. You can change this via the Settings button on the PPT Productivity Ribbon > Slide Library to save your Library files to your preferred company share drive. Any Slides or Elements you save to your Slide Library remain within your company IT stack and are never accessible by PPT Productivity.

To save a slide or shape, simply select it, press 'Save Shape...' on the Slide Library toolbar in PowerPoint, enter a name for your slide or shape and select a thumbnail image (from options displayed).

You can easily search the Slide Library by object name, or by scrolling and viewing thumbnail images. The number of words in a shape name is not constrained and shape names do not need to be unique (noting that unique naming does make searching easier).

To use a slide or shape, simply click the thumbnail in Slide Library. Objects saved as Slides will be inserted as a new PowerPoint slide. Objects saved as a Shape will be added to your current selected PowerPoint slide.

Toggle the 'use source formatting' setting on the Slide Library Toolbar to either paste your slide or shape using the current template colors or the colors that the element was saved with. This means that when you reuse a shape or slide from your Slide Library it can automatically update when pasted to the current presentation theme template colors.

How to add an object to multiple PowerPoint slides simultaneously? PPT Productivity Slide Library makes it easy! Simply select the relevant slides from the slide preview thumbnails. Then select and click on the relevant object you'd like to paste from the Slide Library Toolbar. The object will be pasted to the selected slides.

    Productivity Tip

    PPT Productivity's Slide Library provides an option to use source formatting or destination theme formatting for shapes, slides and templates. To use your PowerPoint template theme colors, make sure the Use Source Formatting checkbox on your Slide Library is unchecked. Note that Flags of the world (and any other 'image' filetypes saved in your Slide Library) will always be inserted with their original colors.

PPT Productivity Power Tools add-in has a PowerPoint Icon Library included in the Slide Library Toolbar. The Icons are included in your Power Tools license (and available in the free trial). They are optional- you can use your organizations icons or personal collection, or you can download the icons (almost 2000 icons!) for use in your PowerPoint presentations.

Using the Slide Library Toolbar, you can search the Icon library for PowerPoint by scrolling through the thumbnails, or you can search by keyword. You can also select a specific icon group to narrow down your search. The icons can all be resized and recolored to suit your PowerPoint presentation - simply insert any icons to your slide and then adjust.

You can also save more icons to the Slide Library. Save them one at a time or import groups of icons easily.

Productivity Tip

PowerPoint Slide Library update alerts can be turned on or off from Help > Settings > Library - PPT Productivity. Select (or deselect) "Notify when new or updated Libraries are available"
