Do you have an existing collection of images and icons that you would like to add to your Slide Library? Or perhaps you're switching PowerPoint library solutions? PPT Productivity has a feature to bulk import multiple images, icons or other objects to the PPT Productivity Slide Library.

Are you migrating existing icons or other image assets to your Slide Library? PPT Productivity’s Slide Library Toolbar has an option to import multiple images to the Slide Library to expedite the process.

PPT Productivity’s Slide Library is designed to be flexible. To add assets to the library you can:

  • Select a specific slide or object on a slide in a presentation and add it to your library
  • Import an entire presentation to your library
  • Import multiple images or icons to your library

To import multiple images or icons in bulk from a folder, start by opening a blank template in PowerPoint (note that you should open a blank template, not a company template). Then select the Action drop down button at the bottom of the PPT Productivity Slide Library toolbar. Select the option 'Import multiple images...'. This will open PowerPoint's file explorer popup. From within this popup, navigate to the current location where your objects are stored.

Next, select all images or icons that you would like to upload (note that you should select each specific object, not the folder containing the objects). Once you have completed selecting the objects, click 'Open' on the popup. An option will appear, prompting you to choose whether you would like to import all objects at their current dimensions, or add crop area to some objects so that all objects have the same dimensions.

If you are unsure, you can select either option - remember that you can simply repeat the preceeding steps if you're not satisfied with your choice. Once you have selected an option, your presentation will be updated to have one of the objects on each slide.

The filename for each object will be added to the corresponding slide which allows you to use the object filename as the object name in your Slide Library (you can review and edit the slide titles prior to import if you would prefer alternative names).

Once you have completed this step, return to the Action drop down menu on the Slide Library Toolbar and select 'Import current presentation into Slide Library'. You will be prompted to choose a name for the library. You will also be presented with options to use Slide Titles or Slide Notes as library object names, and to select your preferred image style for the thumbnails. Note that you should select the 'Save as shapes' option rather than 'Save as slides' when saving objects such as images or icons.

Click ok and your objects will be imported to your Slide Library.
