Missing the McKinsey PowerPoint Shortcuts?
Are you a McKinsey Alumni who misses the McKinsey PowerPoint shortcuts? PPT Productivity is a...
If you are from one of the Big 3 consulting firms, i.e. McKinsey & Company, The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) or Bain & Company, then you may have become accustomed to having access to a vast library of icons in PowerPoint, ready to download and use in your slides.
PPT Productivity add-in users have access to ~1000 icons in the downloadable Slide Library for PowerPoint. Our PowerPoint Icon libraries contain 25 categories of fine line, resizable and recolorable icons.
But did you also know that if you are a Microsoft 365 subscriber, you now also have access to a library of thousands of royalty-free images you can use within PowerPoint (and other Microsoft programs).
To find icons in PowerPoint - simply go to the ‘Insert’ tab in PowerPoint, select dropdown ‘Picture’ menu, and choose ‘Stock images’. This will open an image dialogue box. Navigate across to ‘icons’ to unveil a large selection of categorized icons to use in your PowerPoint slides.

The library is searchable by keyword search, or by browsing the numerous categories available.
Icons can be added one at a time, or select several, and hit ‘insert’ at the bottom of the dialogue box. All selected images will be added to your slide. However a note of caution: selected icons appear on your slide in relatively the same position (overlaying each other), so we recommend not adding too many at the same time.
If you find icons you plan on using frequently, remember that PPT Productivity Power Tools lets you save icons to your Slide Library in PowerPoint, for easy future access!
